EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions 140 MW Pacific Wind power plant in the US

EDF Renewable Energy, the US subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, announces commissioning of the 140 MW Pacific Wind power plant, in the State of California.
Developed, built and owned by EDF Renewable Energy, Pacific Wind project is located in Kern County in California. The electricity generated by the 70 REpower turbines will be sold to San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.

This wind power plant will supply approximately 56,000 customers yearly with renewable energy. EDF Renewable Services will provide operations and maintenance services.

20th owned wind project of EDF Energies Nouvelles in California, Pacific Wind power plant brings the Company gross installed capacity in the country to 1,467 MW. It thus illustrates EDF EN long standing presence in the United States and its constant ability to develop new renewable projects.
