EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning of the Seyitali wind farm in Turkey, with an installed capacity of 30MW.
On the West Coast, in the Aegean region, the Seyitali wind farm is located in the province of Izmir, a region with extremely favourable wind conditions.
The wind farm is equipped with fifteen Enercon turbines, each with a unit capacity of 2MW.
The project was developed and built by Polat Enerji, a 50/50 subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles and Adnan Polat Group; a well-known and experienced developer and the local partner of EDF Energies Nouvelles since 2008.
Following the commissioning of Burgaz in 2007 (14.9MW), Sayalar in 2008 (34.2MW) and Soma 1 in 2010 (79.2MW), this project strengthens the Group’s position in Turkey. EDF Energies Nouvelles boasts a total gross installed capacity of 158.3MW (59.4MW net) in the country as well as 205.8MW under construction.
