EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions the Lakefield wind farm in the United States

enXco, EDF Energies Nouvelles’ US subsidiary, today announced the commissioning of the 205.5 MW Lakefield wind farm in the State of Minnesota.

Located in Jackson County in southwestern Minnesota, the Lakefield wind farm is equipped with 137 turbines from manufacturer General Electric, each with a unit capacity of 1.5 MW.
A 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed with US utility Indianapolis Power & Light Company.
With this ninth commissioning in the State of Minnesota and also the largest wind energy project built in the state since enXco’s Fenton wind project, the Group further strengthens its operations in the United States and lifts its wind energy gross installed capacity in the country to 1,141 MW.
