The Catalina Solar 2 Project is located in Kern County, California. It is EDF Renewable Energy’s 15th project developed in California and generates part of a combined 1.3 GW of clean energy for the state. The solar plant generates a total of 24.3 MWc.
The sale of Catalina Solar 2 Project to Dominion closed in June 2015, when the project’s installation was completed. The electricity generated by the project is used by Southern California Edison under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
