Located in the Eastern Cape district, the Grassbridge solar plant is composed of 17 Vestas wind turbines with a 3 MW power capacity.
The project has been conceived in partnership with the local developper InnoWind and south-african stakeholders. As an exclusive business partner of EDF EN, InnoWind has also been part of developping south-african projects before and along with Grassbridge (Waainek and Chaba).
The electricity generated at the Grassridge facility is bought by the grid operator under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
